The Rome Rescue Mission Needs Your Help This Thanksgiving
Director Matt Miller stopped by and expressed an urgent need the Rome Rescue Mission is facing this Holiday Season. In preparations for their annual Thanksgiving meal they provide for the community, the sponsor who was supposed to provide the 400-plus turkeys was unable to. The mission was forced to spend more than $5,000 of money meant for other projects to get the birds, so the meal could still continue. Now they need your help to recoup the cost so they don't have to rob Peter to pay Paul.
There are many ways you can get involved through the Holidays, from volunteering your time feeding people who might otherwise go hungry or donating some extra resources that you might have but aren't using.
