The Rome Rescue Mission offers assistance to those needing shelter, food, and basic life necessities, but they can't do it without the generous help of more fortunate Central New Yorkers.

The Oneida County Fire Dispatch Facebook group is doing their part to help by holding a Personal Hygiene Item Drop Off for the Rome Rescue Mission, Friday May 4th at 12 Noon.

They will be collecting Soaps, Shampoos, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shaving Cream, Disposable Razors, Combs and any other personal hygiene items to help shelter residents.

If you would like to help, you can bring any donations to the Old Sears Parking Lot next to Walmart in Rome.

The Rome Rescue Mission is always accepting donations year-round, you can learn more about how to donate money, time food or other necessary items at RomeMission.org.
