Tickets for the 12th annual New York Sash/Utica College Hockey Teddy Bear Toss game are now on sale.

This year's game will take place on December 17th as the Pioneers takes on Morrisville State at the Utica Auditorium.

The annual game is a partnership between New York Sash and Utica College to raise toys for local children in need.

All fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to the game. As Utica scores their first goal the crowd will throw their teddy bears onto the ice. Thousands of bears will rain down to be gathered by New York Sash for a collaborative toy drive.

The Teddy Bear Toss game has sold out annually since 2012 and New York Sash owner Scot Hayes attributes this to the uniqueness of the event but also to the giving spirit of the Mohawk Valley. “At New York Sash we understand the importance of giving back and enjoy doing this year after year. It’s really worthwhile to see the mountain of toys that gets donated,” Hayes said of the toy drive.

Over the  years, more than 25,000 stuffed animals have been donated.

Tickets are available at the Utica Auditorium Box Office or online.
