What better way to celebrate fall in Central New York than Oktoberfest in Little Falls? This month’s Super Third Thursday marks the 4th year for fall themed fun on Main Street in Little Falls.

On Thursday, October 20th, Main Street First and Think Local is presenting Oktoberfest in Little Falls. There will be a lot going throughout this Third Thursday.

The LiFT Theater Company will be hosting their first annual courage quest at 6:00 pm behind Little Falls Dental, where participants of all ages can dress up as their favorite super hero and "save the city" with the help of Mayor Blask and the Little Falls Police Department.

The Dragon's Lair will be holding two costume contests, one for grade 5 and under and one for grade 6 and up. Prizes will be given away for the best and scariest costumes and free chalk art will be provided by Marc Verri.

A variety of live entertainment will take place as well, including comedian poet Michael Cecconi, musician Kevin Alexander, mentalist Brian Foley, musician Mike Lonis, musician Steve Woods, and Shawn "Big Sexy" Smith. You can also catch Leslie Kubica and her Matchstick Menagerie for Boomwhacker and Cups demonstrations.

Even though there will be several new features added to this year's Oktoberfest, there will still be classics, such as pumpkin bowling, hair, face and nail painting, pumpkin painting, a popcorn sale courtesy of the Cub Scouts, and so much more!

This event isn't just for kids either. There will be a free fall beer tasting at Piccolo and wine tasting at Ann Street Liquor, complete with German wines and treats. RD’s Gorge View Lanes will offer Turkey Bowling, where if you bowl 2 games and get a third game free! Valley Cinemas will also be having a free viewing of "The Visit" at 7:00 pm. Story Hour for Grown Ups will also be returning to Gansevoort Bookstore with local author C.T. Avis.

This event is both family friendly and adult oriented. For more information, visit www.shoplittlefallsny.com/ or 'Think Local Little Falls' on Facebook.
