UPDATE: 04/20/2015 09:45am Although a cause has yet to be determined a spokesperson for National Grid says that power has been restored to most residents. Any customers who are still experiencing power outages should call the company.
If you're like me, when you get a bill in the mail, you probably throw away any of the other mailer items that they enclose. But, in this case, I took a closer look at "We Connect" newsletter in my recent National Grid bill, and found some good money saving energy ideas.
Power was restored for most households within thirty minutes but an equipment malfunction caused a power outage that affected approximately 8,400 customers in Oneida and Herkimer counties .
If you're a National Grid customer; beware. National Grid is urging everyone to be cautious of unknown callers identifying themselves as representatives and asking for personal banking or credit card information.
