A heartbroken Rome woman is losing her hair and she says tainted shampoo is to blame.

It's Hairstylist Appreciation Day. For weeks we've been asking you to nominate and vote for the best hairstylist in central New York. And the winner is....

We started this process with over 16,000 nominations. After days of counting up all the talented hair stylists, we narrowed it down to 10 finalists. That's when the voting began. After a glitch in the system was discovered, the problem was corrected and the voting was reset. Now we officially have our winner of 'Central New York's Top Stylist 2016.'

The moment many have been waiting for is finally here. After over 16,000 nominations over the course of a week, we've narrowed it down to the Top 10* hair stylists in Central New York.

The reason that people go to the same person over and over again to get their hair done is because of the relationship and trust that builds up over time. They say a person's barber, or stylist is a client's biggest confidant. We want to honor that person for you. Let them know that they are appreciated by giving them the nod for 'Central New York's Top Stylist 2016.'

Wayne Jennings is the lead cook at Riverside Diner in Marcy, NY. After three years of growing out his hair he decided to cut it. He made sure that hair went to good use. His intention was to donate the hair to "Locks of Love," and that's exactly what he did.
