Syracuse Orange Players Struggle to Play Basketball From Wheelchairs
Not one but three Syracuse Orange players were on the celebrity team for the 15th Sitrin Wheelchair basketball game. You'd think it would help but you'd be wrong.
John Gillon, DaJuan Coleman and Tyler Roberson joined Erin Hamlin in the starting lineup for the celebrities and took time to get use to playing from a wheelchair. They had trouble just passing the ball, never mind shooting.
The celebrities didn't even score any points until over 10 minutes into the game and yours truly scored the first basket.
The Syracuse players did a little better their second time on the floor, sort of. Roberson drew cheers from the crowd when he dunked and laughs when Gillon threw up an air ball. I think it was meant for Roberson, who thought Gillon was shooting a 3 pointer.
Once again, the Sitrin all star team crushed the celebrities. Don't let the score fool you. Our last 2 baskets counted for 10 points each.
