Jimmy Wachter has been impersonating Barbra Streisand for years at his Syracuse show. Now, he'll have a national audience when he appears on CBS' '2 Broke Girls.

Wachter says he got a call from an old friend, telling him about the part. "Oh my gosh. That's what I do. I gotta get this part." Three days later, Wachter got the part and he had to leave three days later for Hollywood. Wachter says the only problem was, he'd just moved. "Everything was in boxes. I was a total wreck. Talk about excited, yet nervous, all these emotions. I can't even tell you what I was feeling at the time."

I still can't believe it. I think when I finally see it, it might finally sink it. Right now it's still a dream.

What Wachter was feeling was doubt. Could he really pull his off? "If this would have been 20 years ago, I probably would have said no. I'm very shy in my private life and I'm scared of doing things alone, let alone flying. I've never flown in my life. I think I was more scared of that than being on the show."

Wachter's flight made it to California without a hitch and he spent three days rehearsing with a table read on the first day. "That was mind blowing. You're at a table with the cast members. Everyone was so welcoming and so nice. I thought it would be intimidating but it really wasn't."

Filming took a turn when Wachter was warned they might change his lines. "Guess what they did? They changed my lines. I literally had two minutes to learn my new lines. I nailed it on the first shot."

Wachter says he doesn't have an exact day but he'll appear as Barbra Streisand in the fourth episode of the new season at the end of October or early November. "I still can't believe it. I think when I finally see it, it might finally sink it. Right now it's still a dream."

Watcher's appearance is scheduled to air Thursday, December 10th.
