Suspicious Driver in Clinton Was ‘Searching for a House’
The mystery surrounding a suspicious driver in Clinton has been solved.
Parents were warned Friday, September 8th of a vehicle that stopped in front of a Clinton student while she was waiting for the school bus at the end of her driveway on Chestnut Street .
The driver was said to have rolled down the window, and whistled toward the student. Clinton school Superintendent Stephen L. Grimm says Kirkland Police identified the driver who was searching for a house on Chestnut where he was supposed to meet someone. A letter was sent to inform parents the man "was and is not threat."
The new parent pick up location in the old gym will continue as the Building Safety Team evaluates the process and decides whether or not it should remain in place as a safer practice for all involved, says Grimm.
