Meet ‘Star Wars’ Chewbacca Actor Peter Mayhew

Fans of "Star Wars" and Chewbacca, get ready to meet a legend. The man behind the Wookiee is coming to a Comic Con June 2nd to 4th at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario. 

This Comic Con is just a quick jump across the Canadian border for Western New York residents, and a worthwhile day-trip for the rest of us located in Central and Upstate New York.

Peter Mayhew has been Chewbacca since "Star Wars" first premiered in 1977, and he's been a fan favorite ever since. Even to this day, he still embraces the role according to Syracuse.com:

Mayhew has appeared as Chewbacca in five of the eight live action "Star Wars" movies, and recently finished filming "Star Wars: Episode VIII" with co-stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Adam Driver and the late Carrie Fisher."
