Next Star Wars Movie Being Filmed Within 3 Hours Of Central New York?
Rumor has it that the next Star Wars movie is being filmed quite close to home. Reports are that the movie will be filmed about 3 hours from Central New York.
According to WLEB, a portion of the next Star Wars movie will be filmed just outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The portion they film will represent a previously unknown planet in the Star Wars universe.
Writer and director Rian Johnson is said to have personally chosen the location and will need the help of a large number of extras from Scranton and the surrounding area. Reports claim that a big reason in choosing to film in Pennsylvania is that the state has recently been providing significant incentives to production companies that choose to film in their state.
