Today kicks off a month of do-si-do-ing and swingin' your partner 'round and 'round. September is National Square Dancing Month, and there's a place to learn and practice this fun dance right here in Central New York.

The Syracuse Country Dancers have lots of opportunities for contra and English country dancing throughout the month. Their dances are the first and third weekends of each month, so there are four dances you can enjoy throughout September.

Saturday, September 7: Double English Dance (3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)

Sunday, September 8: Family-Friendly Barn Dance (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

Saturday, September 21: Family Dance (6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

Saturday September 22: Contra Dance (7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)

All of these dances take place at the United Church of Fayetteville, and even if you have two left feet, there's no need to worry! The club encourages people of all skill levels to come dance.
