Sleet and Freezing Rain Brings Winter Weather Advisory

For a moment close your eyes and channel Clint Eastwood from the movie, "Gran Torino." Now repeat after me, "Winter, Get off my lawn." The potential for sleet and freezing rain has the National Weather Service issuing a Winter Weather Advisory for Central New York this morning.

The Advisory is currently in effect and continues until 2 this afternoon.

* LOCATIONS...Oneida-Madison-Chenango-Otsego-Broome-Delaware-Sullivan-Susquehanna-Wayne-Lackawanna-Pike-

* FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET...Less than a tenth of an inch of ice.

* TIMING...Precipitation is expected to move into the region by mid
morning and is expected to last through the early afternoon.
