The National Weather Service out of Binghamton is looking at the possibility of strong thunderstorms hitting Central New York throughout Thursday afternoon. Here's what we know so far.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for most of Upstate, and Central New York. This also effects the Tug Hill region. Meteorologist think with the high temperatures expected, humidity, and a lot of energy in the atmosphere, we could see some strong storms.

According to Syracuse.com, how and where they hit will depend upon how fast the storm moves and how warm the air is when the storm arrives.

"Right now, it appears storms will fire over Ontario to (Western New York) mid-to-late Thursday afternoon, which will then battle their way east-southeast," the weather service's Binghamton office said. "For the storms that do manage to pass through our region, the environmental parameters do suggest potential for them to be severe.""
