SERGIO GARCIA is eating a little crow after his 'fried chicken' remark about Tiger Woods.  The Spanish golf has issued a second and much more sincere apology to TIGER WOODS.

These two have been feuding ever since Sergio accused Tiger of distracting him during a tournament earlier this month by pulling a club out of his bag while Sergio was hitting a shot.

On Tuesday night, Garcia was jokingly asked if he would invite Tiger over for dinner during the U.S. Open.  He said, 'We will have him 'round every night.  We will serve fried chicken.'

Sergio quickly apologized.  Well, technically it was one of those NON-apologies, where he said he was sorry to anyone he offended.  He also called his remark 'silly' and said it wasn't intended to be 'racist.'

Tiger wasn't buying it.  He Tweeted a few responses:

Yesterday, Sergio issued a REAL apology.  He said, 'My answer was totally stupid and out of place. I feel sick about it, and I'm truly, truly sorry.  I hope we can move on.' He said he was caught off guard with a funny question, and was trying to give a funny answer, but obviously he misfired, and he had a sick feeling in his stomach almost immediately afterward. 'I really didn't sleep at all last night.  I felt like my heart was going to come out of my body.'
