Working with a grant through Cornell Cooperative Extension, two area schools are looking to purchase food from local produce farms.  BOCES and the Waterville Central School District are working with the new Farm to School initiative.

The Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES Food Service office and the Waterville Central School District are looking for local produce farmers that might be interested in selling direct to the schools for the months of September and October 2015.  The program has many goals; getting school aged kids to eat healthier, teaching them healthier options and understanding "how and where" their food originates.

If you are interested in learning more about the project, call Tiffany McConn at 315- 841-3802 or email tsm87@cornell.edu.
