It's hard to believe it's been a year since Robin Williams died. Most people can remember where they were and what they were doing when they got the tragic news. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Williams co-star in 'The Crazy Ones' remembered the comedic legend on Instagram.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded. You succeeded RW"

Billy Crystal Tribute

Billy Crystal remembered his friend during a special tribute on the Emmy Awards. "For almost 40 years, he was the brightest star in the comedy galaxy. He made us laugh, hard. Every time you saw him. I spent many happy hours with Robin on stage. I use to think if I could put a saddle on him and stay on for 8 seconds, I was going to be okay. As genius as we was on stage he was the greatest friend you could imagine. It’s very hard to talk about him in the past because he was so present."

Little Known Robin Williams Facts

*Williams was a very overweight child and no one would play with him. So, he started talking in different voices to keep himself company.

*During his 'Mork & Mindy' days, Williams departed from the scripts and ad libbed so many times producers stop trying to make him stick to the script and deliberately left gaps, leaving only 'Mork can go off here.'

*He studied at Julliard with actor Christopher Reeve and the two remained friends until Reeve's death in 2004. One week after Reeve's horse riding accident, Robin visited him in the hospital, dressed in scrubs, speaking in a Russian accent, with a surgical mask on. He was acting as if he was a real doctor and did a bunch of wacky antics. After he took off his mask, Reeve said, 'That was the first time he laughed since the accident.'
