Gregory Mignot is battling bone cancer. But he's not battling alone. The community and Rome Police Department are joining Gregory's fight.

The 10 year old 4th grader at Staley in Rome has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer and will undergo 9 months of Chemo at Galisano Children Hospital in Syracuse. Before treatment, Gregory toured the Rome Police station, sat in a cop car and even tried on a kevlar vest.

In addition to helping take Gregory's mind off his battle, Rome police are also pitching in financially. A benefit to help cover medical costs is being held Saturday June 9th from 1-6pm at the Stanwix Veterans & Men's Club. The Rome Police are raising money at the Department to donate to the benefit.

We are with you Gregory in your battle and pray you come through Chemo with flying colors.
