RFA High School Name Misspelled on Diploma
Your high school graduation is a day you're never supposed to forget, right? Well, for the 2017 graduating class at Rome Free Academy that would be an understatement.
When the seniors received their diplomas at Saturday's commencement ceremony, they noticed a small spelling snafu. According to Syracuse.com, the text on the diplomas showed they were handed out in Roma, NY - not Rome, NY.
Peter Blake, the Superintendent for Rome School's says he, nor the vendor know how the mistake happened but it will be rectified. All 338 graduates will receive new diplomas in the mail.
In 2015, Clinton Central School had a similar situation. All 108 graduates received their diploma with the school name misspelled on the cover. Instead of "CLINTON" it read "CINTON", with the "L" left out.
