In a statement, Hamilton County Sheriff Karl Abrams says, "In the early morning hours Rachael Lynn Mattice returned to her Johnstown address after being gone for approximately 2 weeks. She is currently being medically evaluated at a local hospital and appears to be in good condition. There is still currently an active investigation on going and we ask the public and media show respect to the family and direct all questions to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office."

A family friend told NewsChannel 13 Rachael said she was "kidnapped, held against her will and bound during her two week disappearance. She escaped by jumping from a car and then running to her mother's home in Johnstown."

Mattice went missing June 22nd. Rachael’s father Dave went to visit her at the family camp on Algonquin Lake and saw her vehicle was there with the car door open, but she was gone, according to Missing Person’s of America.

Family members are just happy Rachael is home safe and sound.

A press conference will be held this afternoon between 1-2. Check back for updates as the investigation into Mattice's disappearance continues.
