Time Magazine has just named Pope Francis its "Person of the Year."

In its cover story by writers Howard Chua-Eoan and Elizabeth Dias Time Magazine calls Pope Francis,"The People's Pope," saying, "He took the name of a humble saint and then called for a church of healing.  The first non-European pope in 1,200 years is poised to transform a place that measures change by the century."

A video from TIME Magazine, shows "Why TIME Chose Pope Francis."  Francis succeeded Pope Benedict XVI, who retired over health reasons, on March 13, 2013.
