
Plane Crashes In Herkimer County
Webb, NY (WIBX) – State Police and the FAA are investigating an airplane crash in Herkimer County.
Authorities say the plane piloted by 34-year old Benjamin Brown of North Carolina was experiencing mechanical failure near Gull Lake in the Town of Webb.
They say the aircraft crashed and was almost totally submerged in about 30 feet of water.
The pilot and his passenger were not injured.
The plane had left Burlington, Vermont early yesterday morning.
The investigation will resume this morning.
