It was a football injury back in 2010 that paralyzed Chris Norton. He was told that he had a 3% chance of ever regaining movement below the neck. Now, nearly 5 years later, the goal he had for himself has come to fruition and you may need some tissues for this one!

It was probably the best weekend of Chris Norton's life. Not only did he get engaged to the woman of his dreams, but he also did something that no one ever thought was possible, except him. He set his sights on walking the stage at graduation, and that's exactly what he did. With his new fiancé by his side he brought the crowd to tears when he stepped out of his chair and got his diploma.

Chris is not only inspirational because of his actions, but he and his family have also established the SCI CAN Foundation. According to the website, their mission is simple.

Our mission is to promote the long term health, wellness, recovery, and quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injury and other neurological disorders by providing additional funds to facilitate opportunities that would not otherwise exist.

Hopefully others that are in Chris' situation will realize life is not over and they can still accomplish so much!
