Onondaga County Makes a Small Profit From Miranda Lambert Concert
Not many people realize just how much money goes into putting a big concert on. Onondaga County got their first concert at the brand new Lakeview Amphitheater on Onondaga Lake off without a hitch. They even turned a little profit on it. The Miranda Lambert concert brought in just over $2,000, but that's small compared to the amount of money that went into putting the debut show on.
According to an article on CNY Central,
The county made $2,313 from Miranda Lambert's September concert, according to an internal profits and losses sheet. Mahoney says that figure is only part of the story.
"The benefit from the amphitheater is from the draw of thousands of visitors to eat in our restaurants, stay in our hotels and shop in our stores," Mahoney said.
This profits and loss sheet explains the cost breakdown with more detail.
Any profit for the county benefits it and hopefully they will continue to bring more amazing concerts to this great venue.
