New York Mom Gives Birth to 15 Pound ‘Miracle Baby’

After struggling with infertility, a New York mom gave birth to a huge - so huge, she set a record.

Joi and Norman Buckley welcomed baby Harper on March 12, 2019 via c-section. Baby Harper weighed 15 lbs. 5 oz. and was 23 3/4 inches long. That's a big baby - so big, she's the biggest baby ever born at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, according to RochesterFirst.com. Mom told reporters, "I knew she was gonna be big, but I didn't anticipate no 15 pound baby!"

In fact, Harper might be the biggest baby ever born in New York state.

Just a few years ago, Joi and Norman were told the odds of them getting pregnant were very slim. They were ready to try adopting when their first miracle baby - an 11 pound boy - was born in 2017. And now, he's joined by another miracle baby: Harper.

Harper was being monitored by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
