New York Man Carving Wood Into Works of Art For Almost Two Decades
Michael Earle has been carving wood into works of art for almost two decades. The Potsdam man owns Whiskeybrook Chainsaw Carving and spends most days either looking for wood or covered in sawdust.
Earle says he has his art all over the world. "I have pieces in Australia, Holland, Germany and some other places that I don't remember."
Those pieces have ranged from animals to benches and even a tiki hut. Earle says now he just sticks to what he does best. "I carve mostly bears now."
Orders continue to pour in every day. Earle says he can see more than 50 requests for bears in a week. He loves what he does and says its profitable. "They pay the bills."
Earle can be reached by phone at 315-244-6449, and by email at whiskeybrook@icloud.com. Or you can check out Whiskeybrook Chainsaw Carving at the Guy's Expo September 16th at FX Matt Brewery where Earle will be doing live demonstrations.
