Glamp on the water at the only canal side getaway in New York State.

Get away from it all at Camp Rockaway on the Champlain Canal with all the comforts of home. Your waterfront glamping experience includes a safari style pre-pitched tent on a raised wood platform. Each tent has a queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress, side tables with solar lights, pillows, linens, extra blankets, towels, and cleaning supplies.

Camp Rockaway opens May 28 but you can reserve your tent now. The season will run through September 8, but could be extended through early October.

This new glamping experience is part of Governor Andrew Cuomo's $300 million Reimagine the Canals initiative that is revitalizing the Canal corridor as a tourism and recreation destination.

Expanding Water Recreation: A new water course with whitewater rafting at the north end of Cayuga Lake near Seneca Falls, will rely on existing water control infrastructure to construct an active water sports course next to the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.
