The sponsorship of Dale Earnahrdt Jr. by National Guard will soon be coming to an end. What is the reason? Simple. The marketing budget just won't allow for it. According to an article on www.sportingnews.com,

In a statement posted on its website, the National Guard said its marketing budget has been cut. It spent $32 million on its sponsorship of Earnhardt and $12 million on its IndyCar program of Graham Rahal. Those figures include the amount spent on promotions and other programs around the sponsorship.

Dale Jr. is having an incredible season so far. He has won the Daytona 500 and is currently second in points behind Jeff Gordon. There is no word yet on what sponsor may come in to fill the void left by the National Guard, but hopefully it won't effect Dale's career season.
