NASA Captures Strange Bright Light Coming Out Of The Surface Of Mars

A NASA camera on The Curiosity Rover has captured what appears to be artificial light coming outward from the surface of Mars. What in the world could it be?

The space agency hasn't issued any official statement yet, but of course the internet is assuming "UFO's". Chron news reports that many bloggers have been trying to spin the lights as extraterrestrials living underground on Mars.

Scott C. Waring, who maintains the website UFO Sightings Daily, noted that the light shines upward, as if from the ground, and is very flat across the bottom.

"This could indicate there there is intelligent life below the ground and uses light as we do," Waring wrote on his website. "This is not a glare from the sun, nor is it an artifact of the photo process.""

So what in the world could this light possibly be? You can see a larger photo from NASA. NASA is currently studying the photo and will have an update soon.

I guess time will tell what exactly it really is.
