#18 Oneida

Oneida, a place that didn't even make the list last year, came in at 18 this year, seeing 44 violent crimes and 1 murder in 2016.

#14 Syracuse

Syracuse falls down the list a bit after landing at 10 last year. Violent crime in 2016 was at 1063 and there were 30 murders in Syracuse.

#13 Utica

As Syracuse falls, Utica rises. The city ranked at #16 last year but jumps 3 spots with 3 murders in 2016 and 382 violent crimes.

#4 Herkimer

Herkimer also jumps up the list from #7 last year to #4 this year. Although there were no murders in 2016, Herkimer saw 54 violent crimes.
