Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. And sometimes that means posting on Craigslist's Missed Connections page in hopes of sparking a flame with a stranger you only saw or met for a brief moment in public.

This recent Missed Connections post from the greater Syracuse area is just too pure to not share.

Back in early September, this person was "meandering" through the produce section at the Fairmount Wegmans when they saw a woman "causing shopping cart accidents with [her] beauty." The person went into the store bathroom and psyched themselves up for minutes, working up the courage to talk to the woman.

When they finally did, she asked if they were okay, and while things may have gotten off to a rocky start, it seemed to get better from there. The two talked for a few minutes and the woman, named on Craigslist as Bethany K., gave the person her Instagram.... or so this person thinks.

Unfortunately, the person wasn't able to find Bethany online, and has now taken drastic measures in hopes of getting in touch with her.

It appears there are two ways this interaction could have gone: Either the woman was truthful and it was just an unfortunate mishap that the Craigslist poster was unable to find her on Instagram OR - what might be the more likely option - the woman made up a fake name to get out of the situation. Anyone know if there's a produce company with the name Bethany?

Oof.
