Meet ‘Beer Belly Bob’s’ The Valley’s Newest Beer Store
Ilion has a new store in an old location. Remember the old Dollar General/Big M building on Otsego Street? It's been renovated and filled with beer!
Beer Belly Bob's is owned by Bob and Julie McDowell, who with help from Senator James Seward were able to purchase the building and a Class C liquor license(a very rare form of the license).
The store features a huge selection of macro beer like your Bud Light, Miller Lite, Labatt Blue etc., but also has a great selection of craft beer and cider too.
If you're a fan of growlers, check out their growler tap and take home your favorite draft beer.
They will also be offering beer samplings and tastings regularly in their new tasting room, with their first tasting on May 4 with Brewery Ommegang.
You can stop into Beer Belly Bob's Monday thru Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Make sure you stop by for their grand opening on May 19, where you'll be treated to beer samples from Genesee Brewhouse, Saranac and more beginning at 4:30.
