Matt 'The Hammer' Hamill is being hailed a hero after saving the lives of two people. While on his way from Utica to Ohio to see his family for Easter, he noticed a car traveling on the highway, in the wrong direction. Hamill turned around to chase the car down. When the vehicle finally stopped he found an unconscious driver at the wheel and a baby in back, according to My MMA News.

Hamill, smashed the car windows with his fist after he couldn't get the doors open. Inside was the passed out driver, and a baby in the back seat.

Police who arrived on the scene confirmed the driver was under influence of drugs and alcohol. She was arrested according to MYMMANEWS.com. Her name wasn't released.

Video of the rescue shows Hamill, who was born deaf, using sign language to describe the scene, while a cop car handles the situation in the background.

Hail to Hamill who not only saved the lives of the driver and baby, he may have saved the lives of those on the same highway who could have been struck by the alleged drunk driver.
