New York Dad Mails Son $7 Million Winning Lottery Ticket in Get Well Card

Truly nothing says "Get Well Soon" like $7 million. That's the winning amount of a New York Lottery scratch-off card a man from downstate Rockland County mailed to his son.

According to CBS New York, Joseph Amorese was recovering from a hernia when he received the scratch-off ticket in his get well card.

“I took my glasses off, I’m looking at it, I was pretty shocked to say the least,” Amorese said. “I had surgery so I didn’t jump up and down, but in my mind I was jumping up and down.”
New York Lottery officials presented Amorese with a ceremonial check Wednesday at Just A Dollar at 20 North Main St. in New City, where the “$7,000,000 Golden Ticket” scratch-off was purchased.
