Kevin Burnside Jr from Little Falls was born with Spina Bifida, and recently he became a bilateral below knee amputee. That hasn't stopped him from achieving his dreams.

Currently he is working towards his biggest goal of making the Paralympic team for Nordic skiing in 2022. He is asking for donations from you Central New York to make this happen. He's launched a GoFundMe with the simple goal of $1000. Currently, he has over $395 in donations. So far he's used that money to compete in Lake Placid.

Nordic Skiing is fun and challenging for Kevin. He loves competing with athletes all over, but is very competitive with fellow teammates.  Kevin just competed in the Empire State Winter Games on February 3rd. He placed third place with a time of 20:24 in the 3km race. He's going to continue to train, and kick butt, to achieve his dreams.

I had my first ever competition at nationals’18 for cross country skiing and biathlon, where I must use a sit ski, due to my disability. I had an amazing time and absolutely loved it, I even enjoy it more than wheelchair basketball."

Next month we will be rooting on Kevin with his next competition in Lake Placid during Nordic skiing fest. Kevin's goal is to be part of the Paralympic Team for the Beijing games in 2022. Help him achieve that goal by donating to his cause.
