Julianne Hough Joins Dancing With the Stars As A Judge
Julianne Hough is returning to 'Dancing With the Stars,' but she won't be returning as a pro dancer. Hough is coming back as a 4th judge. She'll join Carrie Anne, Bruno and Len when the new season begins September 15th on ABC.
Hough tells People, 'I want to give critiques so they can improve. I'm not there to be harsh or cause a controversy.'
Hough won the mirror ball trophy twice, with Apolo Anton Ohno in Season 4 and with Helio Castroneves in Season 5. She left the dance floor after Season 8 when she was paired up with Chuck Wicks, who she dated for a few months. Hough did return as a guest judge on the show, twice.
How hard will it be for Hough to judge her brother Derek Hough, who returns as a pro dancer this season? 'It's not about my brother. It's about the partnership and the celebrity who is dancing,' she says.
The stars for the new season will be announced September 4th on Good Morning America. Dancing With the Stars premieres on ABC September 15th at 8pm.
