The MIT Police officer killed in last night's on campus shootout with the alleged bombing suspect has a connection to NASCAR's Hendrick Motorsports team and Jimmy Johnson.  Johnson revealed the news at a press conference earlier today (4/19/13).  Click for details and video from the press conference.

Sean Collier, the MIT officer killed in a campus shootout Thursday night, was the brother of Hendricks' Andrew Collier, a machinist in the teams engine department.

MIT police officer Sean Collier, 26, of Somerville, Mass., died Thursday night after two men fired gunshots at Collier, who responded to a disturbance on the campus.

A very shaken Jimmy Johnson revealed the information during a press conference at the Kansas Speedway.
