On January 17th, Jim Schon of Central New York suffered a stroke caused by undetected atrial fibrillation. After an extended stay in the St. Luke's Intensive Care and Acute Care Units, medical bills are pilling up and the family needs your help.

Jim is currently undergoing extensive inpatient rehabilitation services at the Masonic Care Community. He still faces a long road to recovery and has incurred significant medical expenses while inpatient. As an outpatient, Jim will continue to receive speech, occupational and physical therapy services for an unknown period of time. Additionally, there will be ancillary costs associated with this recent lifestyle change to help maintain his safety and comfort.

Jim's family and friends have come together to sponsor this benefit on his behalf in an effort to help offset some of these unexpected costs. This benefit will be held on Sunday, May 22nd from 2 PM - 7 PM at the Verona Fire Department located at 5555 Volunteer Ave, in Verona.

Tickets for the Benefit will be $15/person and $25/couple. Children under 10 are free. Food and entertainment will be provided. You can buy tickets by calling the following people: Cathy Raymonda at (315) 868-4857, Albie Menendez at (315) 289-3388; Jennifer Gasparini at (315) 897-0819; Michelle Strong at (315) 723-2752 or Jamie Schon 307-6356.
