Is Remington Arms moving from Ilion to Tennessee? The gun manufacturer, which has it's largest plant in Ilion, is looking at sites in and around Nashville. Remington Arms Moving From Ilion To Tennessee. 

According to the Tennessean, the considered move comes after the SAFE Act was passed in New York state, banning the sale of a number of guns made at the local plant, including the Bushmaster semiautomatic rifle .The law was passed following the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown Connecticut.

There's no word on when or if America's oldest gunmaker will move to a more gun-friendly state. But if it does, Herkimer County will lose 1200 jobs, something the area can't afford to lose.
