Is this Elvis Presley as a teenager in his hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi?

The rare photo appeared in Vanity Fair and dates back to 1948. The picture is owned by Elvis fan Wade Jones. He received it from a family friend who recently passed away. Jones, who has been looking for Elvis photos since 1977 says 'I had never seen that image in my life.'

The woman who took the picture was on her way to have filmed developed when she realized she had one shot left. So she asked Elvis to pose for her.

But is it really Elvis? Billy Smith, Elvis' first cousin says it is. Elvis experts are also convinced the shot is real.

It sure looks a lot like this picture of a younger Elvis from the Graceland Facebook page. What do you think?
