You read stories all the time about a producer selling his products to New York City restaurants or grocery stores.  Cornell Cooperative Extension will show you how to do it with their Small Farms: New Markets free webinars.

Local foods are in high demand and the webinars will feature producers who have found successful ways to sell their products directly to restaurants and grocery stores throughout the state.

a livestock farmer who sells to NYC restaurants via Mosner Family Brands and a vegetable farmer who markets to both upstate food stores and the Park Slope Food Coop in Brooklyn, NY. These farmers will share how they entered these bigger markets and the benefits and challenges of selling 'wholesale' versus 'direct'.

This Monday, October 19 the webinar will feature Dan and Megan Kent of Upstate New York who sell to area grocery stores in Canton as well as New York City wholesalers.  The webinar is free and runs from noon to 1.  Pre-register here.
