Hang on to your hat. Here comes the wind in central New York with 60 MPH gusts that could topple trees and power lines.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch from Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night for most of central New York.

* LOCATIONS...Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland, Chenango, and Otsego Counties.

* WINDS...15 to 30 mph, with gusts of 50 to 60 mph.

* TIMING...The strongest winds and most frequent gusts are expected during the day Wednesday, and into the evening hours.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected.

If 60 MPH wind gusts wasn't enough, we'll have to deal with thunderstorms for most of the day Wednesday too. At least it's not snow. That may be coming later in the week.

I think it's safe to say, so far Spring blows in CNY!
