The bone thin dog was brought to the Herkimer County Humane Soceity Friday, January 1, and they are turning to the public for help. "She is in need of a lot of love and extensive medical attention," HCHS wrote on Facebook. "Please open your hearts, and donate directly to Herkimer Veterinary Associates."

The HCHS is hoping to find more information on the dog they've named Fawn. It was picked up on Litchfield Street in Frankfort before being brought in. "If this dog looks familiar to you or know any information please private message us."

The offers to take Fawn are pouring in but the HCHS says she's not ready to leave yet. "She is not available for adoption yet. Many people have offered, but we are just taking it one day at a time right now."
