Nothing started an argument between my parents, like Dad pruning the rose bushes. Mom would swear he killed them, but they always came back in full bloom.  The Master Gardeners at Cornell Cooperative Extension will help you avoid that argument with a "hands on" pruning experience this Saturday.

The Master Gardener Volunteers will be pruning trees, shrubs, fruit trees and grapevines on Saturday, April 9th at 10:00 to noon. You can join them at CCE's Oneida County offices 121 Second Street in Oriskany.  You can ask questions, watch demonstrations and get some "hands on" learning.

Dress for the weather as they will be pruning in the Parker F. Scripture Botanical Gardens. If there are heavy rains the session will be rescheduled.  For more information contact Holly Wise at 315-736-3394 extension 25.  You'll also find lots of helpful information on pruning rose bushes and shrubs and trees at Master Gardener's Fact Sheets web page.
