Freeze Warning in Central New York
If you haven't turned on your heater yet you may want to before going to bed tonight. There's a Freeze Warning overnight in central New York.
A Freeze Warning is in effect from 2am to 9am Saturday for Oneida, Madison and Otsego counties. There's also a Frost Advisory for central New York.
Boonville, Hamilton, Oneida, Rome, Utica, Norwich, Oneonta and Owego will have sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30. The National Weather Service warns, "frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing."
Widespread frost is expected Saturday morning but we'll warm up to near 60 by the afternoon and it'll be in the mid 60s Sunday through next Thursday.
