'Every time we have a Farm Aid, a lot of farmers show up and say, 'Hey, keep it going,' so it's not a hard decision for us,' Nelson told the Times Union.

Farm-Aid has raised $43 million since it began in 1985 to help small farmers.

Willie made the announcement yesterday on his tour bus while he was in New York. This is only the second time Farm-Aid has been held in New York state.  2007 the benefit was in New York City.

When more acts are announced we'll let you know.  Kenny Chesney took part last year.  I wonder if he'll sign on again this year.  Willie should also call James Wesley who can sing 'Thank a Farmer.'
