Eyewitness Captures Drive By Shooting on Mohawk Street in Utica

An eyewitness captured video of a drive by shooting in Utica. It happened just before 5pm at the light on Rutger and Mohawk Streets.

"The guy in the Audi shot the guy in BMW," says the witness. "I heard the bang."

The shooting victim is being treated at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, according to WKTV and police are looking for an Audi with tinted windows and custom rims.

The eyewitness contacted police and sent them the video. "I wanted to help catch the bad guys. I hope they find whoever is responsible."

This is an ongoing investigation and we will update the story when more information becomes available.

The latest shooting follows two separate shootings Thursday. The first happened in the 1500 block of Dudley Avenue around 10 p.m.. The victim drove himself to the hospital after being shot in the stomach.

Just after midnight a 4-year-old child was shot in the hand in the 1200 block of Gold Street after what police were told was a drive by shooting.
