Drone Training Company To Offer Flight Classes In Auburn

Looking to learn how to fly a drone? Dartdrones will offer a free, two-hour introductory class in Auburn on August 8th at the Cayuga Community College.

According to Syracuse.com, the company will offer a free class, then several other paid ones. Its full-day classes, the paid ones, cost $500 and cover a variety of drone-related topics.

The courses include classroom time on all the rules and regulations surrounding commercial drone flight.

"We make sure they really understand where they can fly legally," Speicher said. "It's very complex."

The hands-on portion of the class includes an agility course where students perform various maneuvers under the supervision of instructors."

Registration for the free class at Cayuga Community College is available online. Dates and registration information for the full-day classes are available on Dart's website.
