Dear Me Campaign Asks What You'd Tell Your Younger Self

In the words of Brad Paisley, if I could write a letter to me. #DearMe is a campaign to share wisdom with our younger selves meant to inspire and empower young women for International Women's Day. We all know growing up is tough. But if you could go back in time, what would you tell your teenage self? It all starts with two words. Dear Me.

Here's what I'd tell my younger self:

"High school was rough. You were picked on for being weird and looking like a boy. You even got the nickname 'Pete' and had it for four years. You didn't have many friends and those you did have weren't really your friends. You had only one boyfriend for a month because his friends made fun of him for dating you. But the reasons you were picked on are the same reasons you're loved now. Being weird may be hard in high school but its what makes you stand out later in life. You have a husband who loves you because of those strange qualities, not despite them. So be the best you you can be, because there's only one of you."
