While participating in the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation 5k charity race inside Yankee Stadium, Upstate natives Kaitlyn Henry and Matthew Fuller caught something better than a home run ball while walking the course.

According to Times Union, while walking the course Matthew started telling Kaitlyn how special and important she was to him. Once the couple got near the jumbotron, Matthew got down on one knee and popped the question.

"I just wanted to do something that not many people get to do," added Fuller. His father and older sister witnessed the big moment.

The best part, Kaitlyn had no idea it was coming:

"'What is he doing?' was my first thought," said Henry. "I didn't expect that at all, the whole crowd of everyone, and then being on camera and seeing everything. It just felt real surreal."

Of course she said yes and Matthew probably hit 5 home runs. The couple met 3-years ago in the library at Hudson Valley Community College when they were both students at the school and have been together ever since. No date has been set for the wedding yet.
